Solicitor/Senior Solicitor - General Practice (5+ years' PQE)

We are a small but thriving general practice firm in Birkenhead founded over 20 years ago.  We are known for providing our loyal and growing client base with considered and practical advice and exceptional service. 

We are seeking a full-time well-rounded lawyer with at least 5+ years' recent PQE in New Zealand including solid experience working with private clients in the areas of property, conveyancing, trusts, estates and relationship property.  The role will enable you to work with a good level of autonomy, directly assisting a variety of private and commercial clients with their affairs. 

To be successful in this role the candidate will need to have: 

  • A broad legal knowledge and a genuine commitment to excellence in their work; 

  • Proven skills and track record managing their own files, be able to hit the ground running and work independently with support from the directors when required; 

  • A pleasant manner with clients and colleagues – we are a close knit team and interpersonal skills are essential; 

  • Sound judgment and be confident and professional in their approach to their work and communication with clients; 

  • A willing attitude, a sharp eye for detail, good common sense, and a strong work ethic; 

The firm has an existing case load and clients available for the successful candidate.
