What’s On Offer

• TMT commercial transactions, such as agreements for the construction of major telecommunications and internet infrastructure and for the supply of wholesale internet services;

Expertise

Webb Henderson’s market-leading TMT team is led by four partners. In Sydney, Angus Henderson, Ara Margossian and Ish Omar lead an experienced team. Jordan Cox heads the New Zealand TMT practice.

The TMT team acts for some of the world’s largest telecoms operators, media and technology companies and government clients, with high-profile engagements across Australia, New Zealand, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. They focus on the most strategic TMT projects in these regions including:

• The development and supply of wholesale broadband services;
• Global internet infrastructure, including broadband, subsea and satellite networks;

Angus has long been recognised by peers and clients as one of the leading individuals for TMT in Australasia and South-East Asia. He is a partner and head of department, based in Webb Henderson’s Sydney office. In Australia, Angus has been recognised as a leading individual in Chambers Asia-Pacific 2022 (Band 1) and a Hall of Fame individual with Legal 500 (IT and Telecoms).

Ara is one of the leading telecoms lawyers in Australia, South-East Asia and the Middle East. He has extensive experience advising clients in the telecoms, media and technology sectors on strategic corporate, commercial and regulatory projects.

Ish is a leading telecommunications and media specialist in Australia and New Zealand. He works across commercial and regulatory issues with some of the largest telecommunications firms in these markets.

Jordan leads the New Zealand TMT practice, working closely with the three Sydney TMT partners and team.  He joined Webb Henderson as a graduate when the firm was established in 2009 - his promotion to partnership demonstrates the career development opportunities available at Webb Henderson and the firm’s commitment to its own people.  He was named as a finalist in the Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year category at the 2020 New Zealand Law Awards and was recognised as a “Rising Star” in the inaugural Rising Stars 2020 list by NZ Lawyer.
