We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Trade Mark Administrator to join our successful and busy Wellington office. You will support the Intellectual Property team to provide a high level of legal service to clients principally in the area of trademark and portfolio management.

You'll be someone with plenty of initiative who may be looking for a new challenge or, to return to the workforce or, simply a role that is stimulating but also balances work and outside activities.

The work is interesting and varied and IP specific tasks will include:

  • Maintaining client information and electronic files
  • Monitoring the status of trade mark and design portfolios and preparing/sending updates to clients
  • Producing schedules including editing and manipulation of images and graphics as appropriate
  • Conducting searches relating to the use and registration of trade marks
  • Processing assignment of trade marks and designs at the relevant IP Offices
  • Administration associated with the management of trade mark and design renewals
  • Managing the domain name portfolios
  • Reviewing official reports and correspondence and helping prepare responses and reporting to clients

Ideally, you will have:

  • Work experience in a law firm, corporate legal team or public
    sector environment doing IP related work
  • Have solid administrative experience and organisational skills
    that include prioritisation of work to meet deadlines
  • Have strong attention to detail and excellent research and
    communication skills
