About the role
Are you an adept Secretariat professional with a passion for governance and corporate compliance? Do you thrive in managing the intricate details of board interactions while fostering strong relationships with executives and directors? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Our client is seeking a seasoned Board Liaison to join their esteemed team. In this role you will manage all facets of the governance life cycle, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to compliance standards. Additionally, you will provide essential support to the General Counsel or legal function, assisting in various legal matters.

You will assist in completing annual work plans for Boards, administering the delivery of governance work plans. You will coordinate Board meetings, events, and teleconferences, manage director travel, meeting hospitality, and contribute to various projects as needed.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a Secretariat or Board Liaison role
  • Proficiency in managing governance processes within a medium to large organisation
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of the governance life cycle
  • Experience in supporting a General Counsel or legal function is highly advantageous
  • Experience within NZX listed companies or the financial services sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with regulatory compliance systems, particularly Diligent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail
