New Zealand Government Procurement says it has developed guidance for agencies on the Government Procurement Rules, 4th edition.

The 4th edition of the rules comes into effect from 1 October 2019.

NZGP says Cabinet agreed in 2018 that government contracts should be leveraged to achieve broader cultural, economic, environmental and social outcomes for New Zealand, and that the Government Rules of Sourcing should be updated to enable this.

NZGP will also be running a series of briefing sessions for agencies throughout September on the changes to the rules, and implementing broader outcomes.
