New Zealand lawyers are being invited to participate in the College of Law New Zealand's 2019 legal performance and well-being survey.

The online survey is being conducted by the College of Law in conjunction with its third-party independent research partner, Perceptive. All analysis is carried out by Perceptive and the data is completely confidential. It will be reported at an aggregate level only and no personally identifiable information will be shared.

The survey is estimated to take 15 to 20 minutes to complete. The deadline for participation is Friday, 13 December 2019.

The 2019 survey follows on from research in late 2018 which the College of Law undertook as a means of understanding the challenges existing in the New Zealand legal profession regarding all aspects of workplace wellness.

The College of Law says the 2019 research aims to build on findings from the 2018 survey in the areas of:

  • Job satisfaction,
  • Burnout/stress,
  • Diversity and unconscious bias,
  • Industry support networks and more.

The results will be available ;publicly once they have been collated early in 2020.
