Helen Cull QC has been reappointed Chief Commissioner for the Transport Accident Investigation Commission.

Wellington Queen's Counsel Peter McKenzie has been appointed Deputy Commissioner. Businessman Stephen Davies Howard has been appointed a Commissioner, joining current Commissioner Wellington barrister Jane Meares.

Transport Minister Simon Bridges says Helen Cull has been in the role since March 2015 and he is pleased to formally reappoint her as Chief Commissioner. He says her previous experience as Deputy Chief Commissioner, combined with her legal background, means she is well placed to lead the Commission in its very important work.

The terms of the new members come into effect on 10 August 2015.
