Former Bell Gully partner Mark Todd will take over as Chairman of the Financial Markets Authority at the end of April 2019.

He takes over from Murray Jack, who was appointed chair in 2014.

Mr Todd, who holds an LLB(Hons), has been a member of the FMA Board since 2015 and has over 20 years' experience in financial markets regulation which included holding governance roles with listed and unlisted companies.

He was a partner at Bell Gully for 15 years and co-founded Anti-Money Laundering Solutions and chairs Mint Asset Management. He will resign his current roles before taking over as FMA Chair.
