DLA Piper has appointed two Special Counsel.

David Johnston joins the Tax team. He is an international tax practitioner with almost a decade of experience in London.

Returning to New Zealand, he spent nearly three years as Fonterra’s Regional Tax & Customs Manager for Asia, Middle East & Africa. David also worked in the M&A transactions team at Ernst & Young in London and Deloitte in New Zealand.

His expertise includes multinational and cross-border taxation, corporate tax, disputes with fiscal authorities and IR audits.
