The Government is seeking feedback on an exposure draft of the Land Valuation Proceedings Bill before its introduction to Parliament.
The bill is on the Government's 2018-2020 revision programme and submissions on the exposure draft close on Friday, 28 February 2020.
The bill re-enacts the Land Valuation Proceedings Act 1948 in an up-to-date and accessible form by restating it in modern language and drafting style without changing the substance of the law.
The bill makes some small amendments under the revision powers in the Legislation Act 2012. The three agencies involved - the Parliamentary Counsel Office, the Ministry of Justice and Land Information New Zealand - are seeking feedback on these and other issues described in notes in the bill.
