The Ministry of Justice says an online consultation tool is now available on its website as part of its development of a risk assessment and management framework for family violence.
The aim of the framework is outlined in a discussion document, and is to ensure there is no wrong door for victims and perpetrators of family violence to receive effective, consistent help.
The discussion document states what needs to be considered when screening for family violence, assessment levels of risk and managing those risks on an ongoing basis.
The ministry says it is now seeking feedback on a draft framework. This is open until 5pm on 2 September 2016.
The online consultation tool is available here.
The ministry says once the consultation closes it will analyse the responses and provide a summary report capturing the main feedback and key themes. The framework will then be refined and the final version confirmed.
