The 35 Elite Women have shown innovative thinking and are reshaping the legal profession. The winners created more flexible workplaces to meet the demands of working families and diverse communities.

These leading women have a professional range beyond their day-to-day work, from championing diversity at the senior executive level to consulting for global organisations.

"There are many female leaders within the legal profession who are showing great leadership within their practice areas and within their communities. The Law Society looks forward to supporting and celebrating those women and growing new female leaders", said Jacque Lethbridge.

“It’s an honour to be included in the Elite Women 2021 list with so many talented and visionary female leaders. I look forward to 2022 and continuing to work together with members of the legal profession across New Zealand”, said Joanna Simon.

Earlier this year, the NZ Lawyer team reviewed all nominations examining how each individual had made a meaningful contribution to the industry. The team then narrowed down the list to the final 35 women who have been selected as Elite Women.
