Online ‘Practising Well’ guide for NZ lawyers now live

This article is over 3 years old. More recent information on this subject may exist.

This week a new Practising Well section of the New Zealand Law Society's website has been introduced and is now live.

The new section includes members of the legal profession, such as Michael Heron QC, Daniel Arapere, Katherine Anderson, Nick Chisnall and Rachel Dewar, discussing the importance of asking for help during challenging or stressful times when practising law.

There is also an in depth article about 'Practising Well' in the latest edition of LawTalk now on-line.

As the late John Marshall QC proclaimed;

"I want to see us becoming a more caring profession, where we look out for signs of stress in our colleagues, whether they are our partners, employees, friends or opponents in court.

The 'Practising Well' section also provides information on how New Zealand lawyers can register for an online health assessment with the Law Society's new Practising Well partner, Vitality Works.

The Law Society appreciates that being a lawyer is a collegial business and 'Practising Well' highlights that vital component of legal work.
