President of the Law Society Jacque Lethbridge takes leave of absence

The Board of the New Zealand Law Society | Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa advises that President Jacque Lethbridge has taken a leave of absence.

“Ms Lethbridge informed the Board and Council on Friday 12 August that she will take a leave of absence for the duration of the Culture Review, effective from Monday 15 August,” says David Campbell, Vice-President of the Law Society.

In the interim, the President’s responsibilities will be delegated to the Vice-Presidents.

“The review is now underway, and it is important that it runs its course.  We do not intend to make any further comment on the issue until after the completion of the review.”
