DLA Piper has appointed Nick Valentine as Special Counsel.

Nick specialises in IT and telecommunications, with a background in intellectual property. He has experience in IT outsourcing, including business process outsourcing, software development and licensing, data hosting, and data protection, privacy and open data.

Admitted in November 2010 after graduating BA and LLB at Otago University, Nick was previously a Senior Associate at an international firm based in Sydney. He has also been on a number of client secondments in the technology, telecommunications, and FMCG sectors.
