The Government's cyber security agency CERT NZ has released a new guide, Keeping your mobile safe and secure.
The guide has eight tips for simple and practical things which organisations and staff can do to keep both business (and client) information, as well as personal information, safe and secure.
"It’s easy to forget that our smartphones are actually just small computers. And that means we need put the same effort into protecting our mobile phones as we do our PCs and our laptops," CERT says.
CERT NZ says its primary goal is to improve cyber security in New Zealand, and this includes raising awareness of cyber security impacts and best practice.
It provides an online reporting tool for anyone who believes they have been compromised by a cyber incident.
