The Ministry of Justice and judiciary have a major project underway to introduce a new digital case flow management system for courts, known as Te Au Reka.

The Ministry and the Rules Committee are consulting on draft rule changes to support the implementation of the next phase of Te Au Reka, with written submissions sought by 16 November 2026. With the assistance of several of our specialist committees, the New Zealand Law Society Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa will make a submission. To contribute to the submission, please email Skye Stewart.
