Deadline extended for access to clients in custody feedback
As announced previously in LawPoints, The New Zealand Law Society is keen to hear from practitioners about issues you experience accessing your clients in custody.
We’ve had a great response so far, so thank you to everyone who has already contributed.
You can email us more than once, so please do keep sending in those examples of any current issues at Corrections facilities you attend. This will help us to continue gaining a nationwide understanding of the experience of these issues.
The deadline for feedback is now 28 September 2026. Please email us at prisonaccess@lawsociety.org.nz.
When we have collated the feedback, we plan to hold a series of meetings to explore possible solutions
