The Australia and New Zealand Sports Law Association (ANZSLA) is calling for nominations for lawyers who given their time generously in the field of sports law for the Denis Callinan Award.
Nominations for this prestigious trans-Tasman accolade are open until Friday, 4 September.
The award is given annually and recognises ANZSLA members who render commendable community service in the field of sports law.
The recipient of the award will be presented with a trophy and the right to nominate an appropriate recipient grant of AU$2,000 or NZ$2,000. Full details including previous winners and a nomination form can be found on the ANZSLA website.
Recent New Zealand winners have been Paul David QC in 2016 and Maria Clarke in 2015.
The award is sponsored by the Queensland Traffic Offenders Program of which Mr Callinan was a founder.
