Employment Court issues new practice directions

Chief Judge Colgan of the Employment Court has issued new Employment Court Practice Directions.

The introduction states that "except to the extent that former Practice Directions are hereby revoked", the directions will apply in addition to those previously issued and which may be found on the Employment Court website section on Legislation and Rules.

The latest Practice Directions, which are dated October 2016, cover Full Courts, Prosecutions for offences under Employment Relations Act 2000, Statements of defence to amended statements of claim, Presence of others at telephone or video conference hearings, and Electronic filing.
