Responses to the Request for Proposals for the new All-of-Government External Legal Services solution are due by 2pm on Wednesday 28 June 2017.
The Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is managing the process and issued the RFP on 26 May 2017 via the New Zealand Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) (see Rfx ID 18698151).
The current contract commenced on 22 December 2011, with two rights of renewal of two years' each. Both of these were exercised and the current contract will end on 22 December 2017.
The external legal services contract provides participating agencies with access to a panel of 40 providers over nine areas of law.
The RFP for which responses are required by 28 June seeks a new solution to replace the one which terminates in December.
MBIE advises that as specified in the RFP, responses must be made using the form found in Tenderlink. Instructions for accessing Tenderlink are found in the RPF, which can be accessed from GETS by registered suppliers. Registration as a supplier can be achieved from the GETS webpage, clicking on "Create New Account" and following the instructions.
MBIE says the clarification period for asking questions on the RFP has now closed and no further questions will be answered. The GETS webpages include a full list of questions and answers, along with supporting information.
