The Holidays Act Taskforce has released an issues paper and is seeking feedback.

The Taskforce was established in May 2018 to review the Holidays Act 2003 and to recommend changes.

The issues paper sets out its understanding of the key issues employers, employees and payroll providers face in trying to implement the Act.

The Taskforce says it would welcome input from key stakeholders about:

  • Whether the issues set out in the issues paper are described accurately.
  • Whether stakeholders have experienced any other issues working within the Act that are not captured in the issues paper. If so, what are they?
  • Any suggestions on proposals for change.

Feedback is sought by 12 October 2018. Submissions can be made online, by email or by mail.
