The Department of Internal Affairs has released an online webinar about the AML/CFT annual report for designated non-financial businesses or professions.

Many lawyers and law firms are among the groups supervised by the department and which are required to submit an annual report.

The first annual report is due for submission by 31 August 2019.

The webinar provides information on:

• What the annual AML/CFT report is;
• What it must be submitted;
• How it can be submitted;
• What the six parts of the annual AML/CFT report are; and
• What questions will be asked.

The department has also released a one-page Annual AML/CFT report reference guide.
