Law firms appear in a new list of New Zealand's top 100 graduate employers as voted by students.
The GradNewZealand Student Survey for 2019/20 was carried out to identify the most coveted employer among New Zealand's university students and recent graduates. Of the 2,200 participants, 8% were engaged in law and legal studies.
Students were asked to nominate the organisation/s that have the most appeal as a graduate employer. The question is deliberately open-ended to allow them to take into account whatever factors are most important to them when choosing an employer.
Six law firms made the Top 100 list, with Chapman Tripp first in 26th place overall. The Ministry of Justice was 65th.
