LINZ releases more details of Landonline replacement project

Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) has released some documentation about its Advanced Survey and Title Services (ASaTS) project for replacement of the Landonline system.

The documents include a Cabinet paper and Detailed Business Case, with details on planning for the project as well as the "as a service" approach which LINZ is taking.

This means LINZ will select a vendor that can deliver a suitable system that LINZ pays to use, rather than paying a vendor to build a system that LINZ then owns.

ASaTS Change Director James Mowat says the "as a service" approach can give the same benefits as a LINZ-built system "with greater value for money for our customers as well as taxpayers".
