A memorial sitting for Rt Hon Sir Thomas Gault will be held in the Number 1 Court at the High Court in Auckland on 19 February at 3pm.

Lawyers are advised that they may wear gowns, but not wigs.

Sir Thomas, who died on 19 May 2015, was President of the Court of Appeal from May 2002 until his appointment as one of the members of the newly-established Supreme Court in 2004. He sat in the Supreme Court until his retirement in 2006.
