Ministry updates probate guidance for the public
The Ministry of Justice has updated its probate information and published two new guides to help people manage simple estates after a death.
The resources explain when probate is required, how to apply to the High Court, what documents are needed, and how to locate or obtain a copy of a will. While not a substitute for legal advice, the guidance may assist executors and help identify when professional advice is appropriate.
