Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) has announced the start of consultation on new regulations, standards and directives to support the Land Transfer Act 2017.

The Act was passed by Parliament in July 2017 and will come into force late in 2018.

LINZ says it welcomes feedback from interested parties to help ensure the transition to the new Act is as smooth as possible.

The consultation period closes at 5pm on Friday, 27 April 2018.

An exposure draft of the regulations has been released on behalf of the Minister for Land Information, together with the draft standards, directives, deposit documents, and guidelines for consultation.
