The New Zealand Law Society's national office in Wellington and the Wellington and Marlborough branch offices have reopened after being closed for two days due to the earthquake in the upper South Island.
After an inspection of the building was carried out on Monday 14 November, further access was blocked by the Wellington City Council.
The closure affected some services provided by the Law Society, including the Registry of Lawyers due to a computer network failure. Anyone who has been inconvenienced may now contact the Law Society.
The Law Society's Wellington Library remains closed. Inquiries for research assistance can be made to auckland@nzlslibrary.org.nz or canterbury@nzlslibrary.org.nz.
The Lawyers Complaints Service remained operational and can be contacted on 0800 261 801.
