The first issue of an academic publication focused on publishing articles related to any domestic or international topic concerning women, gender perspectives and the law is planned for the end of 2017.

The New Zealand Women’s Law Journal has the primary objective of promoting awareness about women’s issues in the law and of supporting women in the New Zealand legal profession in their careers.

An Advisory Board has been appointed. The members are Hon Justice Glazebrook (Supreme Court), Hon Judge AE Kiernan (District Court), Mary Scholtens QC (Stout Street Chambers), Lady Deborah Chambers QC (Bankside Chambers), Kate Davenport QC (Bankside Chambers), and Frances Joychild QC (Litigation Group).

The Journal will be sponsored by the Auckland University Law School and is looking for (voluntary) staff to join the Editorial Team.
