Justice Minister Amy Adams says the Government's Offender Levy has generated over $25 million since it was introduced in 2010.

The $50 levy is imposed on all offenders at the point of sentencing and is used to contribute to support services for victims of crime.

Ms Adams says $3.2 million was collected through the Offender Levy in the year to 30 June 2016, and it is tracking towards $3 million this year, largely due to a reduction in crime.
