Our new special counsel appointments continue to build depth and expertise across the firm. Promotion to special counsel is a significant milestone and achievement. We acknowledge that achievement and congratulate Keri and Scott on their appointments.

Keri specialises in technology and media law with a commercial focus. She works closely with media, science and technology-based businesses to help commercialise their IP, cement key contractual relationships, and comply with sector-specific regulation. Keri has a particular interest in media law, and is experienced in advising television producers, broadcasters and new media operators.  She also provides specialist advice on data privacy (including data matching, targeting and transfer), e-commerce and consumer protection.

Scott specialises in property, local government law, and regulatory issues.  He acts for various territorial authorities, central government and private entities. Scott acts on a wide range of transactions including acquisitions, disposals, developments, subdivisions and leases. He also has expertise in many regulatory matters such as reserves, roads, Building Act and public works issues.
