Auckland barrister David Carden has been reappointed as Chair of the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, for a three-year term.
The re-appointment follows three years as Chair preceded by several years as a Deputy Chair.
Mr Carden has practised as a barrister focusing on alternative dispute resolution in recent years, including a term as President of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of NZ Inc (AMINZ).
The Tribunal is responsible for disciplinary processes for 21 health professions throughout New Zealand. Its hearings are open to the public and its decisions are published on its website.
