Former lawyer John Auld has been reappointed chair of the Real Estates Agents Authority for a two-year term from 17 August 2015.

Mr Auld is currently Managing Director of John Auld Consulting Ltd.

Mr Auld was a partner at New Plymouth firm Auld Brewer Mazengarb & McEwan from 1999 to 2009. He was a Disputes Tribunal Referee from 2009 to 2012 and is Deputy Chair of Port Taranaki, the Deputy Chair of the Western Institute of Technology, and a former Deputy Chair of Taranaki District Health Board.

He was a partner with law firm Rudd Watts Stone, where he worked from 1979 to 1999.
