Judge Anjala Wati sworn in to Fiji Supreme Court

Fiji High Court Judge Anjala Wati has been sworn in by Fiji's President Major General (Ret'd) Jioji Konrote to sit as a Supreme Judge in the next sitting of Fiji's Supreme Court.

Judge Wati completed a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of the South Pacific and was admitted to the Fiji  Bar in October 1999.

She practised law at a firm in Labasa and was later a lecturer/tutor at the New Zealand Pacific Training Centre for a year.

She then became Registrar at the Family Division High Court before appointment as Resident Magistrate - Family Division for Suva, Nausori and Nasinu.

Judge Wati was appointed a Puisne Judge in 2009.
