Lawyer appointed to New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa Board

An NZ Gazette notice states that Auckland barrister and solicitor Paul Majurey has been appointed to the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa Board.

Admitted in 1985, Mr Majurey is a senior partner at Auckland environmental and public law firm Atkins Holm Majurey.

He has represented Māori interests on Treaty and environmental law for nearly 30 years, including as a senior counsel before the Privy Council and Supreme Court.

The appointment is for a one year term and commenced 1 September 2017.
