Madeline Laracy takes up Intelligence and Security position

After three and a half years as Director of the Public Defence Service Director, MOJ lawyer Madeleine Laracy took up the position of Deputy Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security this week.

As well as assisting the Inspector-General in preparing and carrying out programs for the general oversight and review of New Zealand’s intelligence and security agencies, Ms Laracy's role also includes assisting with reporting responsibilities to the Prime Minister, the Ministers responsible for the intelligence and security agencies, and the Intelligence and Security Committee.
