Nikki Fisher and Anthea Herron return to Juno Legal
Juno Legal has welcomed the return of senior lawyers Nikki Fisher and Anthea Herron.
Nikki Fisher
Nikki Fisher returns to the Juno Legal team in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, bringing more than 25 years’ experience across senior in-house, executive, and governance roles in New Zealand, United Kingdom and Australia. She served as General Counsel and Executive Leader at Summerset Group, where she established the legal function and advised on complex transactions. She joined as a Juno Lawyer in 2018 and her work spanned a broad range of sectors, including investment banking, science and innovation, funds management, tertiary education, foreign affairs, and film, supporting clients including Wētā Workshop, NZ Super Fund, Todd Corporation and MFAT. She returns to Juno following a two-year stint with Todd Corporation, where she led legal work on large-scale solar and wind renewable energy projects.
Nikki holds governance roles including as Director and Chair of the Risk Committee at Hōhepa Wellington and is a member of the Institute of Directors. She began her career in private practice at Russell McVeagh and Duncan Cotterill in Wellington, at Field Fisher Waterhouse and Balfour Beatty in London, and Gilbert & Tobin in Sydney. As a Juno Lawyer, Nikki is supporting Fire and Emergency New Zealand.
She holds an LLB (Hons) and BCom from Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha University of Canterbury, and completed further study at the University of California, Berkeley.
Anthea Herron
Anthea Herron returns to the Juno Legal team in Te Waipounamu, the South Island. She first joined Juno in 2020, bringing more than 30 years’ experience across private practice and in-house roles in New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Her career has spanned a broad range of industries, including telecommunications, media, infrastructure, and aviation, with expertise in commercial contracts, governance, and large-scale project work. She most recently served as Commercial and Legal Manager at Tait Communications, working on the Public Safety Network project. She has held senior legal and broader commercial roles at Kordia Limited, Orcon Internet, Stevenson Group, and New Zealand Funds Management.
During her time with Juno, she supported a range of clients including Stuff, Tait, Airways Corporation and the University of Canterbury. She began her legal career in private practice at Bell Gully, before working at Allen & Overy in London and Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Sydney.
As a Juno Lawyer, Anthea is supporting Catalyst IT. She holds a BA and LLB from the University of New South Wales.
