Two lawyers are among the finalists announced in the 2017 New Zealand Association for Migration and Investment (NZAMI) Immigration Awards.

The awards will be presented at the NZAMI Conference in Auckland on 18 August, and have five categories.

The finalists in the Immigration Adviser or Lawyer of the Year are Borey Chum of Migration Associates, Christchurch; Arunima Dhingra of AIMS Global Immigration and Education Services, Auckland; Kar-Yen Partington of Rowland Woods Legal, Wellington; Vandana Rai of Immigration Advisers New Zealand, Auckland; and Carol Wright of Greenstone Global, Hamilton.

David Ryken of David Ryken and Associates has been nominated for the Hall of Fame award.
