Stephanie Mann (Duncan Cotterill) and Sam Henry (Young Hunter), representing the Canterbury-Westland region, have won the New Zealand Law Foundation National Young Lawyers' Mooting Competition 2016.

The final was held in Wellington on 21 July 2016 and judged by Supreme Court Judges Sir William Young, Dame Susan Glazebrook and Sir Terence Arnold.

Runners-up, representing Waikato Bay of Plenty, were Tim Burtenshaw (Harkness Henry) and Simon Schofield (Harkness Henry).

The competition is held annually and aims to provide young lawyers with the opportunity to practise oral advocacy skills in a courtroom environment.
