The Commission for Financial Capability has revised its booklet Thinking of living in a Retirement Village.

The booklet can be downloaded as a PDF here (located near the bottom of the page) or ordered in hard copy from the Sorted website.

The Commission says the booklet is not a substitute for professional advice, but contains important information for intending residents, their families, and existing residents of retirement villages.

Information on page 21 provides advice on how intending residents can find a lawyer experienced in retirement village matters, along with the documents and process required for signing up.
