Juno Legal welcomes Christine Lanham, Amy Cranston, Jo Wong and Sarah Garland

Juno Legal has welcomed four new staff members to its team.

Christine Lanham 

Christine Lanham has joined Juno Legal, based in Alexandra, Central Otago. She has 20 years' experience across commercial, contract, consumer, privacy and intellectual property law, alongside resource management, Treaty settlements and network infrastructure. Christine was most recently Senior Solicitor at the Ministry for the Environment. She previously held roles as a Solicitor at Checketts McKay Law and a Legal Adviser at WellSouth. Before that she spent eight years as General Counsel and Head of Legal and Regulatory at Trade Me, where she established and led the company's legal team including through its IPO, and earlier was Environmental Manager at Telecom New Zealand and a researcher at Parliamentary Services. As a Juno Lawyer, Christine has been supporting Hatch and MCERT. She holds an LLB and BSc from Victoria University of Wellington. 

Amy Cranston 

Amy Cranston has joined Juno Legal, based in South Canterbury. She has more than 20 years' experience across commercial and contract law, property and infrastructure, spanning private practice and senior in-house roles in central government. Amy was most recently a Consultant at Treadwell Gordon Barristers & Solicitors, and before that Senior Solicitor at the Ministry for the Environment and Senior Lawyer at Greenwood Roche (formerly GRC Project Lawyers). She began her career at Chapman Tripp. As a Juno Lawyer, Amy is supporting MCERT. She holds an LLB (Hons) from Victoria University. 

Jo Wong 

Jo Wong has joined Juno Legal, based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. She has 25 years' experience across corporate and commercial law, governance and listed-company matters in private practice and in-house roles. Most recently, Jo was General Counsel and Company Secretary at NZX/ASX listed SkyCity Entertainment Group, where she had executive responsibility for the Group’s legal, company secretarial, regulatory affairs and AML/CFT functions. Before joining SkyCity Entertainment Group in 2009, she held General Counsel and Group Corporate Counsel roles in the New Zealand financial services industry and was a Senior Solicitor at Russell McVeagh. As a Juno Lawyer, Jo is supporting a financial services firm. She holds an LLB and BA from Victoria University of Wellington. 

Sarah Garland 

Sarah Garland has joined Juno Legal, based in Ōtautahi Christchurch. She brings 20 years' experience across New Zealand, the UK and Asia Pacific, with expertise in commercial and technology contracting, outsourcing and transformation, procurement, risk management and legal operations. Sarah joins Juno from Deloitte where she was a Director in the Global and Asia Pacific Operate Centres of Excellence, leading contracting and legal operations work streams, and a team of 19 lawyers across Asia Pacific. Before that, she spent nine years as Senior Legal Counsel at Direct Line Group in the UK, including a period as Acting Head of Legal, CIO and Procurement. She began her career at the New Zealand Commerce Commission and Maude & Miller. As a Juno Lawyer, Sarah is supporting Zespri Group. She holds an LLB and BA (Hons) (First Class) from the University of Otago.
