MinterEllisonRuddWatts has announced the return of projects, banking and infrastructure specialist Tom Fail to the partnership. 

He brings more than 25 years’ experience advising on complex projects, project finance and banking transactions across New Zealand and Asia, with expertise in construction, energy and infrastructure. 

His experience spans procurement, delivery, financing and long-term operation across major infrastructure projects. 

Fail has advised governments, sponsors and lenders on public and private sector projects, including PPPs, and has longstanding experience in the energy sector. 

His return to the partnership on 20 July 2026 reflects the firm’s continued investment in its construction and infrastructure practice.
