About our Publications

LawTalk

This is the Law Society’s flagship publication – its official magazine, published quarterly.

It is both the voice of the Law Society, and the voice of the profession in New Zealand, and it’s widely read.

A digital copy of LawTalk is sent to every New Zealand-based lawyer and others involved in the legal services industry, including members of the judiciary. The mailing list is around 16,000 and approximately 6,000 printed copies are also distributed.

Articles published in LawTalk are relevant to the legal profession.  They discuss changes in the law, provide information to encourage excellence in the profession and promote initiatives of the Law Society.  They are attuned to the legal profession and relevant.

If you are automatically receiving LawTalk in the post and would prefer to read the digital version only, you can cancel your hardcopy of LawTalk by emailing publications@lawsociety.org.nz.
