The University of Canterbury and the New Zealand Law Society, with support from the New Zealand Law Foundation, are collaborating on a series of events to mark the 35th anniversary of the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act.

Bill of Rights Act: Legacy and Lessons - Where to now?  is a series of three seminars and a two-day national conference.

Each event will provide a forum for informed discussion, led by a panel of experts, about the value and importance of the Bill of Rights Act as part of a strong, functioning democracy.

Seminars

Three seminars will focus on the Bill of Rights Act in relation to specific areas of law – criminal law, employment law and environment law.
