Rotorua law firm Sandford & Partners has employed Ben Sandford as a Staff Solicitor.

Ben has BA and LLB degrees from  Victoria University and is completing an LLM in International Sports Law from ISDE in Madrid.

Over the past 12 years Ben has competed virtually full-time in Skeleton Sliding in Europe and North America, and he has represented New Zealand in the sport in the past three Winter Olympics. He is also currently Vice President (legal affairs) of the International Federation that runs Skeleton and Bobsleigh, and a member of the World Anti-Coping Agency Athletic Committee and the NZOC Athletic Commission.
