Auckland firm Heaney & Partners has promoted Ashley Ayton to the position of senior solicitor.

Ashley graduated from the University of Auckland in 2010 with a law and health sciences conjoint degree. She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in October 2010.

After working for Northland and Auckland law firms, Ashley started work for the predecessor of Heaney & Partners in 2013 as a solicitor working within the civil litigation team with a focus on employment litigation and reinsurance litigation arising out of the Canterbury earthquakes. She is also a member of the firm's civil litigation team, specialising in large scale construction claims.
