Lane Neave has promoted Joshua Leckie to the partnership. Based in the Queenstown office, Joshua was admitted in July 2009 after graduating LLB, BSc from the University of Otago.

He specialises in resource management and commercial property and worked at a major New Zealand law firm before joining Lane Neave.

Four staff have been promoted to the position of senior solicitor, all in the firm’s Christchurch office.

Rebecca Cook was admitted in August 2014 and holds LLB, BA and LLM (first class honours) degrees. She specialises in building and construction law and has advised Crown departments, building and construction companies, and commercial and residential property owners and investors.

Sophie Reese graduated LLB, BA from the University of Otago and was admitted in July 2014. She specialises in resource management law and has advised local councils, major developers and community organisations, as well as commercial and residential property owners.

Sarah Copeland was admitted in August 2014 after gaining an LLB at the University of Canterbury. She is a member of the firm’s dispute resolution team and concentrates on civil and commercial litigation and the resolution of insurance, contractual and property disputes.

Winnie Chen graduated LLB at the University of Waikato and was admitted in July 2013. Winnie specialises in immigration law and is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. As well as providing immigration advice she provides support to the firm’s Chinese clients across all practice areas.
