Wellington lawyer John McCay has been appointed a board member of NZ on Air, effective from 1 May 2016.
Mr McCay is a partner in the Wellington office of Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, with extensive experience in corporate and commercial law.
He is an experienced sport, technology, media and entertainment lawyer and has been involved in a range of New Zealand feature films including Whale Rider, World's Fastest Indian and In My Father's Den. He also works in the areas of intellectual property, confidentiality and trade secrets.
Previously chair of Film New Zealand and a trustee of the New Zealand Arts Festival and the New Zealand Film and Television School, Mr McCay has been a board member of the New Zealand Film Commission since 2015. He is currently a trustee for the Wellington Arts Foundation and Limbs4all Trust.
