Law firm Minter Ellison Rudd Watts was highly commended in the Empowerment Award at the Diversity Works 2016 Diversity Awards.

The Empowerment Award winner, and also the Supreme Award was New Zealand Police in recognition of initiatives that have helped recruit, retain and promote female officers and which are enhancing the New Zealand Police and the communities they serve.

The awards were presented in Auckland on 24 August 2016.

The award to Minter Ellison Rudd Watts notes that championing gender diversity is part of a proud tradition at the firm. It notes that the firm can claim the highest female partner percentage of any top-tier law firm in New Zealand, at 28%.
